Shim Kits are designed to work with RDA's that have a 3/32 Trigger Pin and a 3/16 Hammer Pin.
Shimming your Hammer & Trigger will remove much of the side to side movement
from these parts making for a much smoother feel. Shimming the Hammer will stop it from Rubbing the Frame.

Here is my old friend Kevin, he just had a TriggerShims Shim Kit installed in his Ruger
Super Redhawk. Opening Day, Nov. 15 2011, Kevin is using a 7.5” Ruger Super Redhawk in
.480 Ruger, 340 grain SWC Cast Bullet with gas check hand load. Leupold 2.5-8X Handgun scope, about 40 yard shot. Nice Nine Point Buck! (there are 5 points on the left side, pic does not show it)

done if people inquire on what they need given they do the same... GP100 - .005 Hammer & Trigger shims are perfect
w/ the polished hammer & trigger. Perfect. Very tight & very smooth. SP101 - .009 Hammer
& .005 trigger shims. .009 hammer shims did the trick. I first doubled-up to see if .010 dimension
would work. No - wouldn't fit. .009 is perfect. All shims were softly ran on some
1500 then grit sandpaper per your recommendation, then polished on a t-shirt rag w/ some Mother's polish. With your
shims and some polishing of the contact points on both revolvers, I swear I have some of the smoothest revolver

Lance, I finally got round to putting
a set in my 4" GP100 & the results were Fantastic, even though I needed thicker shims on the hammer the kit helped
SA/DA pull by as much as 10 oz on DA & 4 oz on SA but the surprise is the consistency now only varying 1.5 oz Here`s a link to the Ruger forum thread in; "Ruger-Smithing" Thank You Sir !!! RugerForum.com -GP100man
How to Install the RDA Shim
Kit and Reduced Power Spring Kit in a Ruger SP101, GP100 and Super Redhawk Double Action Revolver.
In this video, I install a TriggerShims RDA Pak
of Shims, and a Wolff 17113 Reduced Power Shooters Pak in a Ruger SP101. The Trigger Pull before was very
tough in Double Action, with a inconsistent Single Action trigger pull weight of 5 pounds. After this install, the Double
Action trigger pull was Much Better, and the Single Action Trigger Pull Dropped to a Very Smooth Consistent 3 1/2 Pounds! And the best part is there were no permanent alterations to this gun.
Hammer Spring R&R Fixture There are Several Ways to Accomplish Removing and Reinstalling the Hammer Spring, but I wanted to
Show the Simplest Method Possible Here. Take a Small Block of Wood, You Could Even Use Your Bench Top, Drill a 3/16 Diameter
by 3/8 Deep Hole to Anchor Your Hammer Strut, Grasp the Spring Firmly with Your Fingers and Push Down to Relive the Tension
and Remove the Pin. A Thin Leather Glove Helps, as Does Working Quickly. When Reinstalling The Cross Pin, I Found
that on Your First Attempt if You Just Get the Pin Half Way, That Will Allow You to Get a Better Grip, Making Installing It
the Rest of the Way Eaiser.
