By installing my Custom Hammer and Trigger Shim Kit, you can eliminate drag created by the hammer and trigger rubbing the frame.

My Custom Made Shim Washers for the Smith and Wesson J-Frame revolver will allow you to center the hammer and trigger, eliminating drag caused by these parts rubbing the frame.
My Shim washers are made of C260 Cartridge Brass, custom manufactured specifically to fit the J-Frame.
The 12 Piece Deluxe Brass J-Frame Shim Kit includes 2 shims each for the Trigger Pin and Hammer Pin, in these 3 thicknesses: .006", .004", .002", for a total of 12 Brass Shim Washers.

Shooters Pak - Reduced Power - This pak contains 1 each 8 pound reduced power hammer spring and 1 each 13, 14 and 15 pound reduced power rebound springs allowing adjustment for lighter and smoother trigger and hammer action.
Rebound Springs - Trigger rebound springs are common to all Smith & Wesson J, K, L and N frame revolvers. These springs greatly influence the double action trigger pull which is a major concern of competitive shooters. W.C. Wolff company offers reduced power rebound springs rated from 12 to 16 pounds. For reference, the factory rebound spring is 18 pounds. These springs lighten trigger and let-off functions for smoother and easier trigger pull.

Hi Lance,
I installed the shims in the J-frame last night—unfortunately it won’t accept the right-side hammer shim because the transfer bar is too close. (Am sure two would work fine with the hammerless models.)
I just used a .006” shim on the left side only and it worked out fine. As with the SP101, I am well satisfied and amazed by the improvement.

Hi Lance, the Shim Kit is incredible!
I can only assume that they are very difficult to make. Sure glad I found them. The trigger on my 31-1 was rubbing on the frame and one .003 shim took care of it.
